BEN HOLZEM
Ben Holzem describes himself as an incorrigible “car nut” auto and racing enthusiast interested in racing history and the stories that can only come from motorsport. Ben has been racing since 2009 but has been around cars his entire life. In his time on the track, he has run in various cars and classes ranging from Formula Ford, Club Formula Ford, Vintage Formula Ford (pre-1969), and Sports 2000 to Super Production, Enduro events, and GT-Light/GT4.
Ben won the Midwestern Council of Sports Car Clubs Club Formula Ford Championship in 2013 and regularly runs in Midwestern Council, Regional SCCA, and with various vintage racing organizations (VSCDA/SVRA and others).
He is an educator outside of racing who actively promotes the connection between racing and STEM education. He can often be found in the paddock wrenching on cars with his family and friends. His daughter, Liesel, seems to share Ben's enthusiasm for racing and can usually be found working in the BTM garage and paddock.
